INTERMEDIATE CRUISING TRAINING

We organize this training in Guadeloupe, Martinique and Antigua. It aims to reinforce the skills developed during the "Elementary Cruising Sailing" certificate and the "Elementary Coastal Navigation" course. Students will have to acquire the skills and experience necessary to carry out “life on board” cruises. You can participate in this training by joining a group or with friends !

Since it is a “LIFE ON BOARD” course, we will sail between 4 and 6 hours a day over a distance of approximately120 min. We will perform many maneuvers (tacking, gybing, hoisting, recovering from a man overboard).

 

We will also take the time to visit certain sites, enjoy the beaches and taste the local gastronomy.

Nous prendrons également le temps de visiter la magnifique côte bretonne, les îles anglo-normandes Jersey, Guernesey et Serq. Nous profiterons également des plages et de la gastronomie locale. 

During the week, as Captain, you will have to prepare fallback routes, analyze the weather, open a route plan with the Coast Guard and lead the crew. 

FORMATION VOILE CROISIÈRE INTERMÉDIAIRE

Cette formation vise à renforcer les habiletés développées dans le cadre du brevet "Voile Croisière Élémentaire" et du cours "Navigation Côtière Élémentaire". Les élèves devront acquérir les compétences et l’expérience nécessaires pour mener à bien des croisières « vie à bord ». Pour en savoir plus sur le Brevet voile croisière Intermédiaire. 

Les équipiers devront également préparer un ou deux topos :

  • Gestion de la vie à bord;

  • Matelotage;

  • Système électrique, batteries, etc.;

  • Équipement de sécurité;

  • Navigation à l'estime, faire le point;

  • Comment réagir en situation d’urgence (échouement, voie d’eau, incendie, etc.);

  • Interpréter un bulletin météo et planifier une croisière en fonction de cette météo.

Évaluation en 2 temps :

  • l’examen pratique aura lieu dans les derniers jours de la formation ;

  • l’examen théorique : épreuve écrite de 2 heures basée sur le livre Voile croisière intermédiaire aura également lieu vers la fin de la semaine.

​Prérequis :

  • Brevet de voile croisière élémentaire ou d'équipier compétent de croisière élémentaire ;

  • Formation au Brevet de Navigation côtière élémentaire entamée ;

  • Carte de conducteur d'embarcation de plaisance (CCEP) ;

  • Certificat restreint d'opérateur (Maritime) avec endossement ASN (VHF) ;

  • Une dizaine de jours d’expérience en tant qu’équipier.ère ou chef.fe de bord.​

FORMATION VOILE CROISIÈRE AVANCÉE

Cette formation vise à renforcer les habiletés développées dans le cadre du brevet "Voile Croisière Intermédiaire" et du cours "Navigation Côtière Intermédiaire". Les élèves devront acquérir les compétences et l’expérience nécessaires pour mener à bien des croisières « vie à bord » comportant de longues navigations de plus de 24h.

The team members will also have to prepare one or two topos:

  • Management of life on board;

  • Seamanship;

  • Electrical system, batteries, etc.;

  • Security equipment;

  • Dead reckoning, take stock;

  • How to react in an emergency situation (grounding, waterway, fire, etc.);

  • Interpret a weather report and plan a cruise based on that weather.

 

2-step assessment:

  • the practical exam, on the last day of training;

  • the theoretical exam: written test of 2 hours based on the book Intermediate cruising sail.​

Évaluation en 2 temps :

  • pour le volet pratique, vous serez évalué tout au long de la formation ;

  • l’examen théorique : aura lieu après la formation. Le livre est: Voile croisière avancée.​

​Prerequisites:

  • Elementary Cruising Sailing or Competent Elementary Cruising Crewman Certificate;

  • Training for the Elementary Coastal Navigation Certificate started;

  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card (CCEP);

  • Restricted Operator's Certificate (Maritime) with DSC endorsement (VHF);

  • About ten days of experience as a crew member or captain.​

PLAN DE NAVIGATION

Embarquez avec nous pour une aventure nautique inoubliable avec notre plan de navigation de 250 miles nautiques. Partant de Saint-Malo, nous naviguerons jusqu'à la vibrante île de Jersey, puis notre itinéraire Nous conduira vers Guernesey, ses ruelles pavées et ses plages de sable fin. Nous continuerons notre périple vers la paisible Sercq, une île préservée où le temps semble suspendu. La magie se poursuit avec une traversée vers Perros-Guirec après avoir longé les côtes britanniques de nuit. Les majestueuses falaises de granit rose et les criques isolées vous émerveilleront. Enfin, les îles de Bréhat, joyaux de la Bretagne, vous offriront leurs paysages époustouflants et leurs villages pittoresques.

 

Notre plan de navigation soigneusement élaboré combine l'aventure, la culture et la beauté naturelle, promettant une expérience maritime mémorable. 

Jour 1 : Arrivée à bord vers 17h au Port des Bas-Sablons, à Saint-Malo.

Jour 2 : Départ vers Jersey, 30 mn, nuit au port ;

Jour 3 : Journée à Jersey, nuit au port ;

Jour 4 : Départ vers Guernesey, 20 mn, nuit au port ;

Jour 5 : Matinée à Guernesey puis départ vers Sercq, 8 mn, et nuit au mouillage ;

Jour 6 : Départ vers Perros-Guirec, 125 mn, navigation de nuit ;

Jour 7 : Journée à Perros-Guirec, nuit au port ;

Jour 8 : Départ vers les îles de Bréhat, 222 mn, nuit au mouillage ;

Jour 9 : Journée aux îles de Bréhat, nuit au mouillage ;

Jour 10 : Départ vers Saint-Malo, 40 mn, nuit au port ;

Jour 11 : Départ du bateau vers 10h.

CALENDRIER ET TARIF

MARTINIQUE - November and December 2023

  • From November 25 to December 2: aboard a 2022 Sun Odyssey 46 - 4 PLACES;

  • From December 2 to 9: aboard a 2022 Sun Odyssey 46 - 6 PLACES;

Prices :​

  • $1,890 per week of navigation per person, double occupation ;

  • $2,990per week of navigation per person, single occupancy in a double cabin.

During the festivities :​

  • From December 23 to 30: aboard a Sun Odyssey 42i -6 PLACES;

  • From December 30 to January 6: aboard a Sun Odyssey 42i -6 PLACES.

Prices :​

  • $2,590 per week of navigation per person, double occupation ;

  • $3,690per week of navigation per person, single occupancy in a double cabin.

​Includes:

  • Access to the sailboat and navigation from one island to another according to the navigation plan, with Captain;

  • Training ;

  • examination fees;

  • Mandatory contribution to the FICAV (0.35%).

Does not include:​

  • The plane ticket  and the transfer to the airport;

  • On-board cash costs: food, diesel, port and mooring costs: approximately 200 euros.​

​Booking terms and conditions:​

  • 20% deposit upon booking, 30% 3 months before departure and the remaining 50% to be paid 45 days before departure;

  • Each week will accommodate a maximum of 6 team members.
